  8. Fry the squid for 5 minutes and add rest of the wine, season and let reduce slowly.
  9. Serve hot.

Add the sliced onion to the oil and fry over a low heat until soft. Stir in the chopped garlic with a wooden spoon. Pour the tin of tomatoes into the saucepan, sprinkle the basil leaves into it, and stir. If using fresh squid, remove everything so all you are left with is the whole body and tentacles, clean well. When I was in the Philippines me and my colleagues loved to eat in this Chinese restaurant called "Wok inn" in Malate, Manila and we always order this stuffed squid dish which is really good but I don't know the name.
