Authentic and aromatic, this dish contains fresh ingredients and will make you want seconds! For a milder dish (as this one is quite hot), leave out the dried chilli flakes. METHOD Place the ginger and garlic in a pestle and mortar or spice grinder and grind to a paste with a good pinch of salt. Transfer to a bowl and add the lemon, spices, chilli, herbs and yogurt.

Steps to make Chicken Biryani:
  1. Keep kadai add oil and ghee. Add whole spices and ginger garlic paste. Cook well until raw smell goes.
  2. Now add onion along with mint and coriander leaves. Now add tomato and green chilli.
  3. Now add chicken marginated with curd and lemon. Cook till 80 percent done. Now add rice and coconut milk.
  4. Cook for 10 mins and dum cook for 30 minutes. Delicious chicken Biryani can be served with raita and fry.

Marinate the chicken in greek yoghurt, turmeric, chilli powder and salt. Heat the oil in a heavy bottom saucepan over medium heat. Add the green cardamom and cumin seeds fry for a few seconds.
